All of these fills are based on the standard 16 16th note fill - 1-E-and-a, 2-E-and-a, 3-E-and-a, 4-E-and-a. Try to play a few bars of an 8th note groove before launching into the fill - remember to make sure the tempos match. The 'numbers' and the 'ands' in the groove are the same as in the fill.

ReplyDeleteYeah, that's right - it's the same sticking as the one above but coming back to the snare and missing out Tom 2. It just gives a different slant to the fill.
Don"t forget that our Blog is moving to http://playsomethingdrums.blogspot.com from this week onwards.
But do keep all of your comments coming.
See you Wednesday
